"Taint Tabor" is a specific grade of clean aluminum scrap widely used in the recycling industry. It consists of mixed aluminum sheets and castings that are free from impurities such as insulation, plastic, dirt, or other non-metallic materials. The scrap must be made of clean, recycled aluminum sheet composed of two or more alloys and must be at least 20 years old.
It should be free of foil, venetian blinds, castings, hair wire, screen wire, food or beverage containers, radiator shells, airplane sheet, bottle caps, plastic, dirt, and other non-metallic substances. Grease and oil content should not exceed 1%, and "Tales" are allowed up to 10%.
As a secondary recycled material, Taint Tabor aluminum scrap undergoes processing to ensure it meets strict purity standards before being reused. This recycling method is significantly more energy-efficient than producing aluminum from raw ore and contributes meaningfully to lowering the environmental footprint of aluminum manufacturing.
